Tears of Joy

On April 24th, 2021 Brandon and Meagan exchanged vows at New Hope Baptist Church in Riesel, Texas. It was a sunny day with perfect temperatures. Perfect weather for a wedding! After the ceremony everyone would travel to Elk Hall in Axtell, Texas for the reception.

Meagan and Brandon had an emotional ceremony. There were so many tears - tears of joy! He cried. She cried. The kids cried. It seems that nearly everyone was crying because they were incredibly happy for them as a couple, but also for them as a family. Meagan has stepped up and has taken on the role of being a mother to three children that aren’t biologically hers and Brandon has done the same for one child that isn’t biologically his. If you sat and observed them as a family, you would never be able to tell that all four children are not biologically both of theirs. It’s truly amazing to watch them interact with each other as one family without any labels. They all love BIG! Each and every one of them love and care for each other in a way that just can’t be described in words. I witnessed this firsthand at their engagement session where I learned so much about all of them.

The groomsmen decided to be funny during portraits and pull out the tissues for Brandon. He cried during the ceremony, along with nearly everyone else.

At the reception I must admit, again I was amazed with these two. They can DANCE!! I have never seen a first dance between the newlyweds as good as theirs! The two danced perfectly in step with one another. They never missed a step. The never missed a spin. They never missed a kiss. And they even never missed a dip! Impressive for sure! Nearly all their dates before COVID involved dinner and dancing - and it shows! These two are definitely in sync with each other.

These two can DANCE!

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.

A lot of families often ask about location, wardrobe and pose ideas. This is always the fun part for me because I get to see the personality of the family come out. Shutterfly created a great resource that helps with all these topics. You can check out their large family photo guide and share it with your family to brainstorm more ideas.
